Top reasons to order design & print from the same provider

Most of our clients order design & print print from us as they know that all aspects of their order will be handled carefully and fast, however we’ve had few clients who have requested to get only the design or printing through us and the other from a different provider. Although this is possible, we would like for you to review and consider the following points before making such decision:

Design Process:

With Xtreme: Since we’ve worked with all aspects of your brand, our designers already know your audience, brand’s voice, logo design and more. This allows our designers to produce a design that is congruent with the rest of your branding assets.

With Other Provider: Other providers don’t know your brand the way we do, therefore this will lead to additional (repetitive) questions in addition to additional design file requests since they don’t have it at hand.

Design Files:

With Xtreme: Once you give the final approval on your design, our designers prepare a robust folder with ALL of the design files you will need. Specific file formats are all of the file formats you’ll require no matter the need (digital or print). These fomats include but are not limited to: PDF, JPEG, PNG, PSD, AI and more.

With Other Provider: Once you give the final approval on your design, most designers will give you a couple of formats and hope you don’t ask them again for it. Most providers will stick to providing you with a PDF version of the file and 1 source file. Clients usually don’t realize the need for other design formats until later. Then when they ask their provider for these, they usually take a long time to provide it, charge extra or simply disregard your request leaving you stuck.

Printing Process:

With Xtreme: In order for the printing of your design to come out spotless, a very strict format needs to be followed. Every printing company has different formats they require for printing, however a high resolution JPEG file will work (Learn More) Since our designers work directly with our printing dept., we know exactly what format is required for each design type. This not only saves us time but this time savings is passed on to you.

With Other Provider: Every printing company has different formats they require for printing, if our design files do not conform to their specific requirements, the printing company will reject your order or charge you extra for additional formatting.

Processing Time:

With Xtreme: For all of the aforementioned reasons and taking into consideration how our design & print sytems are fully automated, the processing time between design and print are extremely optimized to save you time.

With Other Provider: If you take care of design and print with a different provider, even IF nothing goes wrong it will take more time compared to us. If your design process takes longer (which is usually the case) and/or the printing files are not formatted correctly, then the processing time will drastically increase.

Total Cost:

With Xtreme: Like most companies, we provide special pricing for stationery products when we do both (design & print), however if we only do one, you will not be able to benefit from these savings.

With Other Provider: This is the number 1 reason why someone may be tempted to go with another provider, however clients usually don’t take these points into account which end up eating their time and money with additional hard costs and oppportunity costs.

Asset Storage:

With Xtreme: Since we’ve most likely worked on previous digital/print assets, we already have them organized under your brand. When you order any stationery product, these files are then nested with your other brand assets and will remain on your account as long as you are a website client.

With Other Provider: Other providers usually send you a .zip file with their design files and keep it on their records for 30 to 60 days. If you need any changes or additinoal formats after that they will not be able to do it since they don’t keep these records long time.
