The most commonly used Email Desktop client is Outlook, below you will find the migration instructions depending on your preferences:
FROM OUTLOOK TO OUTLOOK
If you haven’t setup outlook on your desktop following this tutorial here
Option 1: Drag and Drop (EASY!)
PS: This option is great if you want to be able to access all of your past emails INSIDE the new email
Option 2:Â Keeping backup on the desktop
PS: This option is great if you want to be able to access all of your past emails on your desktop, but don’t care to access it inside the new email (will save storage space)
3. The imported folder will show as “Outlook Data File”
4. Create an email forwarding on the old email to the new email. (we can do this for you, just ask us here)
5. Send email blast to ALL your contacts informing them about your email account change.
6. Destroy any evidence of old email (website, online forms, business cards, etc.)
7. After 30 to 60 days, you can cancel the old email provider account.
FROM OUTLOOK TO ANY OTHER EMAIL CLIENT
PS: This option can be followed if you want to simply access your email online or phone using our Business Email service
OR migrate to a different Oulook alternative such as Mozilla Thunderbird.
> There is no way to import directly as Outlook uses a proprietary .pst file format not recognized by anyone else (including our Business Email)
1. On the same Outlook installation, have add the new email account . If you have problems with this, refer to the Outlook specific tutorial . 2.
