There could be several reasons why your domain transfer failed. These reasons are the same whether you want to transfer to Xtreme or to another registrar.
Check all of these points to help you find the culprit:
Incorrect EPP Code
What is it:Â This code is unique to each domain name and is assigned by the registrar at the time of registration.
Problem: An Auth Code or EPP Code is required to transfer a domain from one registrar to another. Either this code was not provided during the transfer or it has changed.
Solution: Request the latest EPP Code from your current registrar and provide this to us so we can resume the transfer.
ID Protection Turned On
What is it: ID Protect satisfies the international registration requirements without exposing your personal contact information to worldwide scrutiny.
Problem:Â This domain addon or enhancement is turned on or enabled.
Solution:Â You need to turn off or disable this ID Protection from your current registrar and let us know once you do.
Domain is Locked
What is it:Â Domain locking is a feature that allows the domain owner to protect himself agains unathorized transfers and domain theft.
Problem:There are several ways a domain can get locked:
Solution: The solution depends on which of these reasons your domain got locked:
If the reason is #1: If your domain is with another registrar, you can do this under their dashboard – “Manage Domain” or by email request.
If the reason is either #2 or #3:Â You will simply have to wait the 60 days to complete the domain transfer process.
otherwise you will have to wait the 60 days to complete the domain transfer process.
