The Instagram Interactive Messenger action in your workflow enables you to send messages directly to contacts via Instagram Messenger. To successfully deliver the message, the contact must have previously interacted with your connected Instagram account within 24 hours of reaching this workflow event.
This action is a powerful tool for promptly following up with leads, prompting personalized interactions, and ensuring no opportunity slips away.
To begin, add a Trigger. For this example, we would be using the Customer Replied trigger, once that is done, and select the Instagram Interactive Messenger Action.
This option determines how the system responds to a customer on Instagram Messenger. You can choose between, Reply to DM which sends a private message to users who have previously messaged your Instagram account, and Reply to Comment via DM which Sends a direct message to users who commented on your Instagram post.
NOTE: These options allow you to tailor your responses based on the type of interaction your customer initiated.
To save time and ensure consistent messaging, you can use pre-designed templates for your responses. Simply select a template from the Templates field in your CRM. Templates helps streamline communication.
If you prefer not to use a template, you can craft your message directly in the Message field. Personalize your message by using the Custom Values option (Tag icon) to insert details like the contact’s name. You can also include Trigger Links by clicking on the Lighteningbolt icon to drive further engagement.
Click the green Add Attachment button to upload files from your computer, such as images, documents, or PDFs. Attachments help provide additional information and make your message more engaging.
Alternatively, input the URL of an online file in the provided field and click +Add to attach it. This feature is especially useful for sharing resources like presentations or downloadable guides hosted online.
Add up to three action buttons to messages, like opening a URL or triggering a workflow step, by clicking + Add New Button and defining their functions; for the Wait Step, set a customizable wait period (default 1 minute) to allow customer responses, with the workflow automatically proceeding via the “Default Timeout” branch if no input is received.
Quick Replies are predefined, tappable responses on Instagram Messenger that make communication easy, allowing up to 13 options (20 characters each) to guide conversations. Add them using the + Add Quick Reply button. Also, you can set a customizable wait time (default 1 minute) for responses, and let the workflow proceed via the “Default Timeout” branch if no input is received.
Once your message, attachments, templates, and Quick Replies are configured, click Save Action to complete the setup. Your Instagram Interactive Messenger action is now ready to engage customers effectively.
